when trying to setup TalkTalk email account in Microsoft Outlook my password is not recognised. What can I do?

Have you tried opening Webmail using the same password?

 

Does this work and if you are sure it's the same youve been trying, delete reference to the e-mail in outlook, then close the programme. Open and try re-adding the email using the recommended settings for IMAP and hopefully it will take this time.

Unfortunately staff here cannot offer advice on third party programmes only Webmail, but hope the above helps.

 

Outlook is doing some funny things at the moment but deleting and re-adding the account seems to work.
