I signed up to TalkTalk in June 2006 during their Free Broadband Forever ad campaign.

Has anyone successfully sued TalkTalk for since charging them for broadband?

Are you still on the same package you were at the time @djb200 ? It was advertised as a phone contract plus WiFi.

I very much doubt it as contracts are now broadband plus phone, so if you have changed packages and entered into a new contract, which is highly likely, you would be deemed to have accepted the terms of the new contract and rescinded any perceived rights under a previous one.

We do understand @djb200 however, what @fr8ys said is indeed correct because our services are chargeable.

Forever is longer than 28 years.

I'm still interested to know if any customers who signed up during the campaign has sued TT for false advertising.

How does that legally cancel out those of us who signed up before the ads were removed?

We signed because of the promise of 'free broadband for life', regardless of what happened afterwards.

The ads were deemed misleading and were removed by Ofcom.

End of story.
