PS5 refusing to connect

Recently my sons PS5 will not allow him to connect to PSN/Chat/Play games.
I've tried adding the PSN rule in the firewall, tried setting it to a DMZ but the only way it will connect is if I disable the firewall entirely, which I'm not willing to do.

 

I've restarted the router and PS butnot getting anywhere except more stressed, this new SG4K100136 update has been nothing but a headache.

 

Any ideas except throwing it out the window and buying a decent router?

Can't believe I spent all that bloody time setting custom rules for everything when the solution was kicking me in the face the whole time. Time to cut back on the work hours 😆

Hi SudoSandwich 

 

It's possible that the firmware update has reset the level of firewall protection to High. Try re-setting to Medium/TalkTalk protection level.

 

Alternatively,  Factory reset the router.
