Last week, after a week of unreliable internet, I decided to look at the router logs.

Its a Talk Talk DG8041W and until 2 weeks ago has been fine.
I see multiple instances where this error caused the router to reset.
AlarmID:104001,AlarmLevel:Error,Device reset. Cause: System reset due to kernel panic

After a long discussion with customer services, I disconnected my phone line, removed my faceplate and directly wired the router into the master socket.

Apparently, my original fault ticket was closed - pending my tests to see if that worked.

Well, one week later and the logs are still full of the same kernel panic resets.

So removing all other elements in the house has not removed the fault.

Im inclined to think this is a faulty router.  Can someone at TalkTalk help, without me having to go through another long winded phone call?

Has anyone else found the reason for these errors? I've searched the forums and although there are one or two similar reports from a while ago, there doesnt seem to be any conclusions or solutions.

Thanks
