Talktalk not connecting to work VPN

Im starting to work from home from next week.

Today I received my home working PC from my employer but my internet doesn't connect to my work VPN.

The VPN connections is important, I can't do any work without it.

I have a Huawei TalkTalk Router.

I have no internet issues and my Ethernet cable for my work pc works too.

 

I spoke to my employer and it seems like the internet service provider has an issue with the VPN connection.

I need this issue solved as soon as possible.

What can I do?

Hi,

yes, I did.

 

Before I actually received the replacement router, I was able to fix the vpn connection.

The issue was actually the Ethernet cable, it wasn’t the router or my work vpn.

One end of the Ethernet cable was broken, which I did not notice at first. But I got a new cable and the vpn works .

I have Huawei HG633

hardware version: H.1.01

 

 

It just says I was not able to connect to the VPN server .

Which Huawei router do you have? What happens when you try to connect to the VPN, do you get an error message?

I have asked one of TalkTalk's support to pick your thread up and investigate it for you.

They aim to respond within 48 hours (Monday - Friday) excluding Bank Holidays, but if more urgent you can always try the Service Centre on 0345 172 0088. The posts are responded to in time/date order, oldest first. Please try to avoid posting on here until TalkTalk has responded to you, otherwise, this will just put you further down the queue.

To save yourself time, please make sure that your community profile includes your first & last names, broadband phone number & if possible an alternative contact number. This can be done by clicking on your Avatar picture then click on "My Settings" followed by:-

Personal Profile > Personal Information

Otherwise, TalkTalk will not be able to tie up your forum username to your broadband account. Only you & TalkTalk have visibility of your details.
