Change your account details

If you've recently changed your name or the owner of your TalkTalk account, you'll need to get in touch so that we can send you a request form to complete. If you'd like more information about what's required to complete the request, we have outlined the process' below.

In order to change the owner of your account both the current account holder and the proposed new account holder will need to fill out the form.  All sections of the form must be completed for the change of ownership request to be processed successfully. The new account holder will also need to complete a Direct Debit mandate with their bank details which will be included with the form.

If there's money owed on your account it'll need to be cleared before we can change the owner on the account. There are various payment methods you can use to clear any outstanding balance.

The new owner will take responsibility for any products or services associated with the account. If there are any apps linked to the existing account, we'll automatically de-register these when the change of ownership is processed. The new account owner can re-register these on the new account if they wish.

We require you to send us ID with the form. Other acceptable ID includes: 

  • Statutory Declaration - Change of Name
  • 2 Bank statements for the same account, showing the change of name
  • 2 Council Tax statements for the same account, showing the change in name
  • Decree Absolute
  • Deed Poll Confirmation

Please only provide copies of documents only as these will not be returned.
