Hive hub not connecting with FAST5364

Like others I have this fault.

See post of 31 Jan 2022 with same title.

It is most frustrating that TALKTALK technical support, contacted on the phone, won't look at this history and insist on speculating on other reasons.

My first call concluded with the  I will get back  to you in one hour.

After two hours with no ring back

I rang again and was cut off.

Is this the usual level of service??

Hi DonnyLad

If all other devices are connecting ok then this sounds like an issue with the Hive device, we don't block this.

Have you had a look at the Hive Community/help pages, I can see that they have some advice and checks to complete.

Debbie

Printers(3), Laptops(2), Desktop(2),Amazon Firesticks(2), mobile telephone(1) checked out ok.

They are a mixture of ethernet and wireless.

Hi DonnyLad

Also I'm just looking at Hive. Which lights are on the Hive hub at the moment?

Hi DonnyLad

Are all other devices connecting ok? Is this only affecting the Hive?

Was the Hive hub working ok previously on your connection?

Both powered off for 40 mins.

The hive hub has not linked after 15 mins

Hi DonnyLad

Have you rebooted both the Hive hub and router? It may be worth powering down both devices for 30 minutes.

The Hive Hub is connected to the router with a short ethernet cable.

10 mins ago I  swapped the cable with another, known to be OK, with no effect.

Hi DonnyLad

Ok, is your Hive hub connected wired or wireless?

Hi Debbie

Go ahead with FW changes.

I won't touch any switches etc

Hi DonnyLad

Thank you. Will it be ok if I make a change to your router firmware?

We advise to leave the router switched on without being rebooted whilst we update the FW.

Good morning Debbie

Have now connected the the new router.

Hi DonnyLad

We no longer send out the Huawei WIFI hub. The Sagemcom hub should work ok with Hive.

Is the new router connected at the moment so I can check the firmware?

Hi

I am pleased to report a router/hub was delivered this afternoon (Wednesday). Great delivery service.

Having opened the package and removed the Network/Password Tab I found that the

Device Version was FAST 5364-3. T8 and it was badged "Sagem"

Regretfully my current router is also a Sagem FAST 5364-3. T8.

My understanding from other posts is that Hive successfully works with the Huawei DG8041W.

Would it be possible to have one to try?
