Issue with using TP Link smart plug with router

Hello - I have my router plugged into a TP Smart Plug. However soon after I started getting connection issues to the Broadband and on my iphone the message was "Privacy Warning - This network is blocking encrypted DNS Traffic.

Can this be connected to me using the TP Link Smart Plug?
