Hello
How can I take control over changing the router's WiFi channel? Although I can change it in the settings, the router changes it again by the next day to what it thinks is the optimum. This does not work in my home as the level of intrusive signals from neighbouring properties varies around the home and I need to be able to set the channel for the worst rooms. I can't easily move the router as it's close to the incoming telephone line and near to my desk which alone connects by ethernet. The router is the Sagemcom FAST 5364 (v. SG4K100206) Thank you Bob

Hi Bob,
We can no longer switch off wifi optimisation (this was a business decision) however we can send you a wifi booster to help improve the wireless connection. Would you like us to arrange this for you?
Thanks
Michelle

You can't I'm afraid, it is controlled by a remote network system which is designed to choose the best channel for you. Sadly, this doesn't always seem to work as intended. You say you can't "easily" move the router, but have you tried to do so temporarily in order to see if WiFi coverage across your home improves at all?
The support team here should pick this up tomorrow and advise further, they may be able to provide a WiFi booster for you.
