Please help! I have changed every setting for Outlook and Apple following the guides online to ensure they are the encrypted ones. I have phoned Talk Talk and spoken to someone and they talked me through the settings too however I still can't access my email via Outlook or on my Apple device. After an hour on the phone they suggested uninstalling outlook so thought I would try my luck here. Please can anyone advise what I do next? Yes I (ignorantly) ignored the email from TalkTalk about updated my settings as I thought it was a phishing mail. Please help! 🙂

Hi Ann, I've added your husband's mailbox to those to be restored to normal function. Please allow 48 hours for the change to complete.

Thank you Ady! I have included my husband's email address in my private notes but his email still doesn't work. Can you advise me on this please? Ann.

This topic doesn't seem to have been picked up. There were delays last week that Ady was trying hard to sort out. I'll push another reminder into the TalkTalk Support workflow.

Hi! I still haven't been granted access to my emails. Can you advise me on this? Thanks, Ann/

You're welcome.
Just to clarify something not shown in your screenshots. I wonder if there was confusion about the authentication tick boxes? The outgoing mail server requires authentication so the tick box My outgoing (SMTP) server requires authentication must be ticked. But NOT any of the SPA Secure Password Authentication boxes that must be left blank.

The secure mail settings are good so I've requested that full access is restored for the email address mailbox in your Community profile Private notes.
TalkTalk Support will respond here and access returned within a couple of days after that. Until then use TalkTalk Mail webmail via an up to date Internet browser to keep in touch with email contacts.

Thank you, I have unticked this. The customer service rep on the phone said it needed to be ticked but I have now corrected per your instruction. The Apple device is Iphone 11 using the mail app, please see attached photos. This is a POP account so the incoming server port is 995. Thanks!

You've shown me the Outlook setup. Mostly ok.
However, will not work at all.
You need to untick the box 'Require logon using SPA' as this is not used and never has been used for TalkTalk Mail.
What about the Apple Mail setup and on what device is that?

If you saw the message from TalkTalk advising "Our records show that you are still accessing your email using unencrypted email settings, because of this you will no longer be able to receive or send emails via this email app or software" then the email address receiving that notification has been limited to webmail only access as a last resort action by TalkTalk to stop the use of insecure email.
TalkTalk Mail webmail is secure by design using an up to date Internet browser.
Select here: Sign in to TalkTalk Mail
Enter your full TalkTalk Mail email address and password, select Sign in.
You will be able to get email access restored to email apps or software including mail collection services so long as you're ready to use up to date and secure email settings for all the ways you view emails. We can advise on device and software compatibility and provide customer setup guides. Just let us know each mail collection service, each device, its operating system and email software including version that are in current use.
Devices will not connect to the mailbox until TalkTalk Support switch on device access.
For a definitive check of settings take screenshots of the incoming and outgoing server settings, image edit to obscure the first part of the email address and upload here using the Camera icon (desktop browser) or Picture icon (mobile browser) above this reply area.
When you confirm the secure settings are ready I can request TalkTalk Support to restore full access. TalkTalk Support will respond here and access will be restored usually within a couple of working days.
