Reinstating e-mail to mail App

I have been unable to access my e-mails on the Apple mail app since 17/2 as whilst I thought I had checked all my connected devices for security settings clearly one was not correct. Am I able to demonstrate that my IMAP settings are secure so that I can have my e-mails returned to my app inbox?
