I recently bought a new CCTV DVR recorder to replace one that had failed and which had linked easily to my recently installed EERO 6 system having previously worked on the old part fibre router. I run a good quality Ethernet cable from the second EERO 6 router and it lights up behind the new CCTV unit and flashes orange as it should. However, the on screen set up menu tells me that the network test has failed and I am unable to get the new unit to connect to the internet, which means I am unable to check the cameras on my phone. Has anyone any idea please as to what DNS settings I need to set the new unit to in order to connect to the internet?

Is this the DVR that flashes orange? Is the CCTV system set to use DHCP for IP address allocation? If it is, you do not need to set any DNS servers up manually, as these will be assigned via DHCP. Does the CCTV appear as an online device within the eero app when it is connected via Ethernet?
You do not give a manufacturer or model number of the DVR, so it is very difficult for me to comment on its own onscreen setup menu.
