Cannot cancel TT engineer appointment

I have booked a home visit by a TT engineer but have a chat note that the fault has been rectified which it has.  On my PC I have tried Cancel your Appointment but on the confirmation page the button is red, does not do anything except recognise the cursor and the appointment remains shown as live.  How do I cancel it?  ID is REF-14821066 if TT can cancel it from this!

@Sandy47, there's no one here qualified to inform you one way or the other before Monday  - forum staff don't cover weekends, so you need to contact Talktalk directly to check:

https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/How-to-contact-TalkTalk-Broadband/ta-p/2230529

If you need any help after that, please check out the "help with your service" message boards and click on start a topic as you'd need to begin a new thread.

Also complete your community forum profile details for Talktalk staff to identify your account.

Yes thanks, it was for 10 Oct.  The reply on that number was almost immediate, hopefully that is normal these days.

OK, but you did manage to cancel in time, yes?

The phone gave an unexpectedly quick response, so thank you.  I was told I could not cancel online because fuller ID verification was needed.  If true it seems odd that a clear path to cancellation exists online!  Perhaps the fault timeline could be amended and lead to the phone number instead of a useless red button!

The quickest way would be to contact customer services directly, call 0345 172 0088.
