We're aware that customers connected in the Shetland Isles are currently experiencing a loss of service. This is due to a main cable that's been damaged by a third-party.

Engineers are now on site and service has been restored to some mobile cell sites, which has improved mobile coverage. Engineers are working to divert services via other routes and looking to restore connection as a priority. This is a complex repair and we’re not currently able to give a full timeline for restoration.

We'd like to apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time.

If you need to call 999 you should try to call using your landline or mobile, even if you don’t have a signal from your own mobile provider.
