Latest Update 12th August 2025: Work is still ongoing to restore service. Openreach engineers are working to restore service as safely and quickly as possible.

Following the recent severe weather in Scotland caused by Storm Floris, the Openreach network has been significantly affected. This includes damage to overhead cables and power-related issues that are impacting service delivery. Openreach has therefore declaring MBORC (Matters Beyond Our Reasonable Control) for repair activities for WLR, LLU, FTTC, SOGEA and SOTAP in the Highlands and Islands areas, with effect from 23:59 on Monday, 4 August 2025.

We'd like to apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time and assure you that our teams are monitoring the situation and closely working with Openreach to ensure services are restored back to pre-storm levels.
