We're aware that some customers in the Kingston and South London area were experiencing a loss of service. A section of Virgin Media's fibre cable was accidentally damaged on Thursday by construction workers. The extensive damage caused by their drilling equipment required a large section of the fibre cabling and ducting to be replaced. The Virgin Media fibre cable is used to provide service to the following exchanges:

Virgin Media engineers have confirmed all services for TalkTalk customers have now been restored. We will continue to monitor services in all affected areas to ensure there are no further issues. This has been a major repair and we apologise for the inconvenience caused to all affected customers.
