Your Parental Control Preferences allow you to restrict access and hide certain channels and content on your TV. This will help you to protect the young ones from the material you’d rather they not see without PIN Access.
When active, your Parental Controls will lock certain types of content, allowing it to only to be accessed after entering your four-digit PIN.
Once set, it’ll be applied to On Demand content and any programmes that have been recorded after the 9:00 pm watershed. Depending on which option you choose, this can include all programmes or films that are rated either PG and over, 12 and over, 15 and over or 18.
If you want to protect your family from inappropriate content there are two places you can set parental controls.
Full information on how to set up account level controls can be found on Googles support page, this can be used to control which apps can be seen or installed on any device linked to the account.

Sky Cinema are currently the only channels on TalkTalk TV (and some Sky channels on NOW) that do not follow the watershed and can play age rated content at any time. This means we're required to protect 12 rated content with your PIN before Sky's 8pm watershed, even when Parental Controls are turned off. If you're watching the channels after the watershed you shouldn’t be asked to enter your PIN.
