Before you can connect the app to your TalkTalk TV Plus Box, you need to first connect your device to your wireless network (or the same router your TalkTalk TV Plus Box is connected to, if you have more than one). Once connected, you can use the app over any Wi-Fi or mobile data network.

The steps below will guide you to the mobile devices area on your TalkTalk TV Box.

  1. Download the TalkTalk TV Planner mobile app from the App Store or Google Play
  2. Connect your device to the same Wi-Fi netwok as the TalkTalk TV Box
  3. Press the Menu / youview button on the TalkTalk remote control
  4. Select Settings
  5. Select Mobile Devices
  6. Open the App and follow the instructions to connect to your box
  7. Select the device you want to connect on your TV by pressing OK to tick/untick the box and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the setup

To schedule a recording remotely using the TalkTalk TV Planner app, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the TalkTalk TV Planner App
  2. Navigate to the film or show you would like to record using the Guide or search functionality
  3. Press the film or show you would like to record to open up the programme information window
  4. Press the Record icon in the top right corner. If the programme you're recording is a part of a series you'll be asked to whether you want to record the single episode or the series
  5. You'll see a notification confirming your recording has been sent to your TalkTalk TV Box

It's recommended you allow at least 15 minutes minimum to set up recordings remotely.

To remove a previously registered device from a TalkTalk TV box:

  1. Press the Menu / youview button on your remote

  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Mobile Devices
  4. Select the device you want to disconnect by highlighting the name and press OK to place a tick next to the device name
  5. Select Disconnect
  6.  A message will now be displayed saying You have successfully disconnected your device. Select Done to confirm.

Your device is no longer connected to your TalkTalk TV Plus Box.
