Can't do Outgoing Calls on My Landline

Who do I contact?  I cannot make outgoing calls on my landline. I tried My Connection and it says everything is working fine. I try to troubledhoot and seem to go round in a loop. I get a dialling tone but I get a continuous sound when I phone a number, even my mobile. I can receive incoming calls. I have tried different handsets & connected to the test socket. Same problem.

Thanks. Having rung other numbers I suspect it is my mobile. I understand there were various outages yesterday which is why there seemed to be a fault our end when we tried to ring various people. From internet searches, it appears that this problem is still ongoing so I will contact Vodafone if this does not start to work. Sorry to have bothered you. I will come back if we have any further problems

Please try and identify if the problem is in your end, try ringing a different number in a different location and let me know how it goes. Thanks

Thank you. It was working but I just called my mobile again (Vodafone network) and got a continuous sound. I could use my mobile to ring Home. I tried calling another TalkTalk number and that seemed to work so it  is all very strange

Hi there @hatos13, I'm really sorry about this. Please allow me to run checks on this for you, hence you mentioned it won't allow you even when you are ringing your mobile. Thanks

@hatos13, BT and EE suffered a significant outage yesterday, so, if you were trying to ring people with these suppliers, the call wouldn't work.

People were recording the fault as being with their own lines when, in fact, it was at the other end and has since been resolved.

Okay I understand and I would have ran checks for you to determine the cause of the issue with your landline however you've confirmed that it's now working.

Thank you. I have just checked the phone again and it seems to be working. It definitely was not yesterday.

Staff will respond during the day, @hatos13 - probably best to check back after c 8am.

Phone support closed 7pm and won't open any sooner and Chat is unlikely to pick this up as they close at 9pm.

If you are still having trouble over the weekend, these are the opening hours for phone / Chat support:
