Evening everyone. Just a quick question. I renewed my

dads broadband contract this afternoon and downloaded the appropriate documents. A couple of hours later he received a call (I do not live at the same address) from a lady asking if she was speaking to Mr *****, asking if he was happy with the deal I had agreed with her.  He is 86 and hard of hearing and was a little worried by the call and if it was genuine.  My question is, is this normal practice? I can’t check the order online as it shows still processing. Is it worth phoning myself to clarify, if so what is the best number to call? Thanks in advance.

@Gliwmaeden2  thank you for the reassurance. I have told him to look for an email, we will check his My Account page for updates and failing that, will call the number you suggest. He needs the technology but is extremely suspicious of random phone calls/scam callers. Better safe than sorry 😊

There's no way of reaching support overnight, @BevTalk62.

Talktalk (like so many other companies these days) does constantly chase up for feedback.

He might find an email comes in too.

If you are at all worried, call 03451 720088 after 9am [they close at 7pm] or use Chat during the day.
