Hi,
I am a new TalkTalk member, having just moved into a new home, and I am trying to get my web server set up. I need to forwards ports 80 and 443 to the server, but am unable to because I get the error:
"The configured port conflicts with the internal service port."
I can map the external ports to a different number, but that is not sufficient as I need them running on the default ports.
I've seen other posts where people have had their routers replaced with a different model which is able to perform this function, does anyone know how I could go about that?
Many Thanks,
Ben

Hi Keith,
That's what I thought - thanks for the confirmation. I've set up hosts records for the site on devices internally pointing to the server's IP, which at some point I'll set to be static outside of the DHCP range, and we'll be all good.
Thanks for your help on this,
Ben

Hi @BenGreen
The reason that you can't access them internally is as any traffic going out from a device on your network to the internet & back in again is classed as NAT loopback. TalkTalk considers this a security risk & block this traffic.
The way to access it from within your network is to use the server's private 192.168.1.x IP address.

Thanks all, that's working ok now with the Sagemcom Hub - I can't access the sites on the server from within the network, but they work externally which is the main thing, and I can set up hosts records internally.
Cheers,
Ben

No problem Keith, thanks very much for your help.
@Michelle-TalkTalk Do you know who I would speak to to get a replacement Sagemcom Hub sent out?
Thanks,
Ben

Hi Keith,
Do you have any idea when the next firmware release will be? I can wait if it's a week or so but it looks like this problem's been about for a while so that seems unlikely.
Who would I need to talk to to get a replacement router sent out?
Thanks,
Ben

Hi @BenGreen
Unless you use different external ports & translate them within the rules to these internal ports, you can't with this firmware. I have requested this be changed in the next release to permit the forwarding of these ports.
The only other thing you can do is ask TalkTalk if they will swap your router out for the Sagemcom hub, which will allow this & is of a very similar specification.
