Router cutting out 20 times per day

Hi,

I’ve had talktalk installed for over 2 weeks now and am having the internet cut out for 20-30 times per day with the router flashing to amber for 20 seconds then going back online.   Speed is great when it works, but it is very annoying for video calls etc.

I’ve tried resetting router, turning off for 30 mins, changing channels to ones less used in my area, changing DNS (as I was getting DNS errors in the router log, like this other user htt ps://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Broadband/Sagemcom-FAST5364-Firmware-update-Request/td-p/281380...) that fixed the DNS errors but not the router cutting out.

Any ideas on how to fix this or getting an alternative router to test out?

Thanks,

Richard

Hi Debbie,

Great, thank you.  Will keep an eye out for it.

Fingers crossed that's done the job.

Hi Richard

I will need to test with a different firmware version. Will it be ok for me to do this now? The router will go off for a little while whilst I do this.

Thanks

Hi Richard

Thank you. I've completed a line test which hasn't detected any faults.

Which FW version is showing on your router?
