"There was a technical error
We’re sorry and working hard to resolve this. Please try again later."
I know there's another topic almost identical, but having been 'told off' before for adding a 'me also' comment and told to open my own thread, so here goes.
The Kids Safe seems to be blocking 17thBarrow.org.UK (it's accessible using mobile data, but not over TT WiFi)
Tried to add the site to the allowed list, and it keeps failing with the error at the top of the post.
Tried to engage the online chat to sort out and ended up with a ridiculous loop being told I would be connected to someone real, which continued until chat closed at 21:00!

Hi there @gcotgreave, allow me to look into this for you. Perhaps I can try checking on my end if everything is okay.

An email from the site's webmaster to homesafe.classification@talktalkplc.com
Seems to have done the trick.
Suddenly tonight my email client started receiving the backlog of emails, I tried the site and it was acceible again over TT broadband.

I am currently at home, and messaging over TT broadband, which demonstrates there's no actual issues with my broadband connection.
A work colleague wondered whether the 17thBarrow.org.Uk site was using a shared IP address at the host provider, and TT was blocking access at the IP level because another domain resolving to the same IP had been blocked?

Okay, we will look into this for you. Please confirm if you are messaging us from home.

I got through to the online chat, and they switched off all security settings.
It didn't seem to make any difference.
They said "Don't worry! Due to system limitations, we can't process your request at the moment. However, since you've reached out to us, we have a dedicated team that can check and assist you accordingly. I'll update the notes on your account and connect you right here in the same chat, so you won't have to repeat yourself." And closed the chat.
I know it can take a while to apply, so left the settings off.
It is still off today and TT still gives an error message when attempting to access via broadband, but no error via mobile data from the same browsers. I've had other people check from other providers and they can see the site too. Really strange.
The site is up and running as I can also access it via a proxy site.
The mail client won't connect to the domain either, which again points to the site being blocked by TT or its DNS

@gcotgreave did you try switching kids safe off and see if it will be accessible?

This would have been the third named site I was adding to the list

Hi there @gcotgreave we are sorry for any inconvenience caused. Please confirm how many websites have you added so we can proceed thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried, and also tried both the site and TT setting page, from a different browser, and a different device. Site is only blocked when using TT WiFi. Immediately either device is switched to mobile data the site loads. This does imply it's TT related. As you say the subject matter is hardly contentious. It is not any of the 'banned' KidSafe categories we have selected. But TT KidSafe page on TT website still brings up an error, even on mobile data in different browser, if you try and add it as a specific 'allow' exception.

Try clearing cookies and cache before logging into My Account and then try the HomeSafe settings again. The settings are not something that the support team can change remotely for obvious reasons. It does seem strange that a scout group has been blocked!

TT's annoying chat it, gets stuck
