Hi. Please could someone help or
advise me. My master socket has came loose from wall. It was installed poorly by TalkTalk when my internet was supplied and fitted last year. I contacted TalkTalk today to let them know it’s lose and dangerous. I was advised an engineer will come this weekend to fix it at no cost which is great. The lady I was chatting to on the TalkTalk chat said the master socket can be moved at my request to a new location as long as it’s within 3m of its current location. I was told this would be at no cost. I have screenshots of this chat saying this would be free. However after some research it’s saying everywhere I’ll b charged?! Now I’m concerned that it’s going to be a hidden cost and I’ll be charged even though I have been told it’s free. Can someone please confirm this ? Thanks

Apologies for this.
To move/relocate a master socket there will be a charge.
Openreach engineers can also install and replace main phone sockets if requested. This is chargeable at £128.40.
