Our internet connection started intermittently dropping out last Friday - six days ago. Restarting the router worked for a while until yesterday morning, when the connection was lost entirely. A fault was logged, but since then there have been no updates, and the Chat "facility" doesn't respond as it's too busy. (Life is too short to stare at a screen for over an hour while "the agent is typing".
Please can someone help as this loss of service is causing real problems?
Edit: I now notice posts made after mine have received responses from TT agents, but I seem to be being ignored. TalkTalk?

I'm so glad to hear that this fault has been resolved 🙂
I completely agree, it's such an important service for households now. I have a daughter (11) who is autistic, and she doesn't understand why she can't watch her videos if the internet goes down, it can be a very stressful time.

The engineer arrived at 8am; we're now back online with a new router.
Two days of no internet service at all preceded by four days of frustrating drop-outs makes me realise how much the internet has become an integral part of everyday life for (most) households. Goodness only knows how parents of "gaming" teenagers cope when they lose the 'net.😳😅

Glad to hear you have got an engineer arranged, hopefully they will be able to get things sorted for you. But if you need any more help then do post back here, the support team here only work normal UK office hours, but they should be able to help if you have any further problems.

Thank you for responding. I'm not sure why the support team ignored me when I could see they'd responded to others who'd posted after me. It's not a good feeling to be completely ignored.😔
We've been without the internet since yesterday morning and had call number assigned since then, but heard nothing bar crickets, which was why I posted here - desperation!
OH finally grabbed the bull by the horns earlier this evening and contacted TT by phone. Very long story short, we have an engineer coming tomorrow between 7-9am. We think the problem is with the modem because the service was falling out and being restored by rebooting it for about a week before it finally gave up yesterday.

Is your connection completely down at the moment ?, what light(s) are showing on the router ?
