Phone line noisey. So noisey you can’t hear what’s being said!

Extremely crackly phone line. That bad you can’t use the phone. TalkTalk test says it’s okay, clearly mistaken. Where do I go next!

Internet dropping out and phone line is very noisy at times ie thunderbolts and lightning.

Yes. I’ve checked everything. I’ve even connected a phone directly onto the BT line where it comes in to the house. Line is VERY noisy and I’ve use two different phones, therefore this retired Electrical Engineer can confirm that it’s a line fault HTH.
