Sonos sound speaker

Hi,

I have just received my new talktalk hub as we could no longer get Now TV on our old recordable talktalk hub.

The problem we now have is that we can only have the sound through the TV when on "normal" TV. @KeithFrench can you help?

@Divsec is probably the best person when it comes to the Sonos Speaker but did your old YouView box work with it? If so it would have been hard wired somewhere in the setup via HDMI. Can you not replicate this?

 

If the Sonos has Bluetooth then you should be able to add the device via the settings menu in the TV Hub.

Hi @Lulubelle1 I might be able to help on the Sonos side. Could you kindly advise what Sonos kit you have and the make of TV?

I am no expert on the TalkTalk TV boxes that replaced the DN372T. Normally, sound is delivered over the HDMI cable. Is there anything in the TV hub's settings that could prevent this?

 

I think a couple of the other Community Stars might be better suited to this situation. @Divsec or @fr8ys please can one of you two help this customer?

 

EDIT: sorry I just realised that this is a Sonos speaker problem & not a TV speaker issue. Is the Sonos connected via WiFi or Ethernet to the router. Did the old DN372T deliver sound via these speakers, rather than the TV's own speakers? Does the TV play back sound OK through the Sonos?
