just received a text message supposedly from city fibre saying they are working with talktalk to update the fibre network and want to install a new line to my home.

Text message, after hours, from a completely different company, demanding to know when I'm in my home. No notification from TalkTalk that this would be happening.

 

If this is legit, it is the worst, most suspicious roll out of a service I've ever seen.

 

Can anyone at talk talk team confirm if this is legitimate

I'm sorry for the delay. Have you received any more communication about this since your last post? Have you also spoken directly with our Future Fibre Team?

Hi @Rcsubs,

 

CityFibre are doing many of the Full Fibre upgrades, so it may well be legit, but the support team here may be able to give a more definite answer when they return next week.
