My talktalk account has stopped forwarding emails automatically to my gmail account from my desktop home pc. I have tried a solution on here but the relevant drop boxes don't appear. I think I accidentally caught something to disarm this feature but cannot locate it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Auto forward is set up as a Rule that operates on the Inbox.
Select here: Sign in to TalkTalk Mail
Enter your email address and password, select Sign in.
- Select the Main settings menu cog icon top right on the blue header
- Select All settings, or if using a mobile browser it's Menu then the cog icon for Settings
- Select Mail and scroll down to Rules
- Select Auto forward
- Make sure that's switched on and has the correct Gmail address showing
- Save changes if necessary
That will forward to Gmail.
Two things to make you aware of:
- Auto forwarding is never to be deemed reliable because if the originator doesn't allow third party forwarding then the mail will not be authenticated and Gmail may not accept that message
- Gmail is dropping a lot of mail into Spam folders so always check the Spam folder and if you find messages there that are genuine then select and hit the Report as not spam button to tell Gmail to deliver that and future messages to the Inbox.
