Today I've started to get this message when trying to send email via smtp.talktalk.net using SMTP.
5.7.1 <my.email@dsl.pipex.com>: Sender address rejected: You are blocked sending mail
This is happening to two accounts, but not a third.
NOTHING has changed at my end.
So what is going on, and how do I regain my ability to send email?

Didn't think it would be, which is why I tried an online help chat (once I remembered it was there).

The forum support team is not on here at weekends, @gmlack.
Your thread is in a queue for attention and it's best not to follow up before you hear back from staff, to keep your thread moving forward in the workflow to reach them.

Just spent 2 hours on a chat with the help line, but got nowhere.
Kept having to explain that since the error message can be generated by TT Webmail when sending to another TT account it is nothing to do with any client email set-up I may have.
It's an SMTP login failure, but not sure that anyone knew how to handle such a specific problem.
It's been escalated and I can expect a phone call in the next 2 or 3 days.
I'd like to think that, in the meantime, someone who understands the SMTP server set-up gets involved.

I've just tried sending from TT Webmail, and it refuses to send too.
Message could not be sent to the following recipients: ["my.gmail@gmail.com" <my.gmail@gmail.com>] (554 - 554 5.7.1 <my.email@dsl.pipex.com>: Sender address rejected: You are blocked sending mail
)
I'm still receiving email OK on TalkTalk....
