My wife obscured for customer security is unable to download attachments, and gets a message saying "your session has been invalidated, please log on again".
Logging on again makes no difference....

I changed the browser from Edge to Chrome, and it seems to be OK now.

If this is when using TalkTalk Mail webmail then the session being ended early means that essential session and secret cookies are being deleted. All cookies must remain for the entire login session.
So, disable any Ad-Blocker / Cookie Blocker / Tracker Blocker / Internet Security Software to troubleshoot the issue.
Either try a different Internet browser or an Internet browser like Firefox that's set to Troubleshoot Mode (that disables Extensions) or Chrome in Reset mode.
