Hi all,

I've just has an email saying that my email address will be deleted as 8 am no longer a talktalk broadband customer anymore.

The problem is I AM a broadband customer and the email address that is getting deleted is the address that I log into my account!

Any help greatfully received.

Best Regards

John

Join the growing club.

This situation is indeed really absurd. TalkTalk have forever been one of the worst communicators I've ever had to deal with and this is the cherry on the cake.

All they had to do was inform us, by email, that there was some sort of change in the service and explained clearly what needed to be done to maintain the service as is. The whole process should have been provided via the email - click Yes to continue with the service, click No to opt out. You get a return email to confirm your choice and an option to reverse that if there has been some mistake. All bases covered - simple.

Why has the AI has come up with this particular solution where loyal customers are described as no longer customers and the whole effect seems to be to vex, scare and annoy them?

Talktalk appears to have sent out a bundle of these emails to people who do still pay Talktalk for their broadband.

Current email addresses and legacy addresses that you've had with Talktalk should remain free.

It is worth checking that they have all your email addresses registered in connection with your ongoing service  - they have a webform to sort this out which they need to complete and process.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link in the post at the top of any forum message board.
