Ask us about your TalkTalk email account and Webmail.

3 separate organisations now have sent me letters because I am signed up to their paperless system but emails to my @talktalk.net address are being bounced. The email is valid - I've received other communications from these same organisations, and the verification code to log in here likewise got through. Not sure what I can do. I use Edison Mail on Android, although presumably it's not even getting.past your servers. I have no filters set.

We are asking these questions because we are running a diagnostics test, and such information is needed to find a solution for the problem.

As noted. I have asked for this several times. Every month, when I get one of these unwanted documents through the post, I send a message via their portal to tell them, and ask again if they could possibly give me any error associated. They say they'll pass it on to their technical team, and that's it till the following month.
Am I really the only person who has reported this issue? As I've said, this has happened with 3 separate organisations now. One a bank I'd forgotten I even had an account with!

Do you perhaps have an error message that they are receiving when sending you emails?

It's talktalk.net

Could you please tell me the last part of your email address? This is the section after the @ symbol.
For example it might be talktalk.net or tiscali.co.uk.

That doesn't address the issue. I can access and send mails through any of my email apps; I don't need to use Webmail. The problem is that outside parties are getting emails returned undelivered, not that I have an issue with sending, nor with receipt once it lands on your servers.

Well, that's great to hear, do you mind using webmail since that's fine. Thanks
on 08-09-2025 05:24 PM
Yes
on 08-09-2025 05:23 PM
Meaning everything is fine when sending with webmail? Thanks
on 08-09-2025 05:22 PM
Yes. I can send myself emails via Webmail.
on 08-09-2025 05:17 PM
I understand that but I need to know if that happens when sending with webmail, please confirm. Thanks
on 08-09-2025 05:13 PM
Just to be clear, the issue is not that I cannot see the mails, but that the sender is having them returned undelivered.
on 08-09-2025 05:11 PM
When sending are you using webmail? Thanks
on 08-09-2025 05:06 PM
Yes, I can access through Webmail. Please see the thread; this is one of the first things I did. Do you want me to open Webmail and keep it open or something?
on 08-09-2025 08:56 AM
Hi there @Allanm2, I'll need you to access your emails via webmail so we can get on with the checks. Please confirm if this is possible. Thanks

I have asked repeatedly for this; the organisation has not yet responded, beyond saying "we'll pass it to our technical team". Again...
I'm stuck between the two of you! Plenty of organisations do get through, including this one on many occasions, but this particular process, a monthly payslip, appears to fail every time, which triggers a physical letter.

Could you please speak to the email sender and confirm if they were seeing an error message when sending the email?
