No, TalkTalk do not delete your mail.
Have you checked your deleted / trash folder?
Do you use any third party email programs on other devices? Are these set to Pop or IMAP? If pop it may be you have downloaded them which cause them to be deleted from the server.
Once deleted, however caused, it is not possible to retrieve them.
