I’m trying to send an email with an attachment but It won’t attach the attachment

When I select the attachment icon and select add local file NOTHING happens. It does not go to my finder file so cannot select a file to send. I am using a macbook. It always used to work. Maybe there is a setting that is stopping me? Does anyone have any ideas?

What's the size and type of file you're hoping to attach and send? Does the message get put into the Sent folder or don't you get a far as sending the message?

The attachment icon is the paperclip on the lower toolbar for the New email modal.

Select the paperclip icon and then select Add local file. Navigate to the file you wish to attach. Selected images and text files including PDF files will show you a preview thumbnail image of the attached file.

The maximum email message size is 25MB. But the end to end email system may not convey large attachments to the recipient's Inbox.
