Whenever I try to log onto the forum using a PC, first I get asked my email address. I am told that a six digit code has been sent to my email address. I go to apps.talktalk.co.uk to loginto my email and sure enough, there is an email with the six digit code. I click on the back button to return to the original forum site and I have to type in my email address again. Lo and behold, the six digit code I've just received is no longer vaild and I have to log into email again. And so on, until I'm told after six attempts that for security reasons I must try later!
The ONLY way I can log in is if I have two PCs open simultaneously so that my email inbox is already waiting for that code. Or I have my ipad on hand. Either way I can type in the code without moving from the forum login page.
Cannot that code instead be sent to me as a text message to my mobile phone, the way my bank does it? Or perhaps as a code to my landline?

Open your email in a separate tab leaving the forum page open.
You can then switch between tabs and login successfully.
This is what I do.
Leaving the page and then going back refreshes the page as you have discovered.
