When using Outlook to send a message I receive "your e-mail cannot be sent due to Policy quoting an eror sode Server error: 554 5.7.1 ".  I have checked the settings against those in the help page on Talktalk, however an error is returned We could not log on to the server.  Please check e-mail address and password.  I have reset the password. but still get the same error.  I have logged on tothe webmail page on the talktalk mail site I can see mail which sent but cannot send E-mail from this platform either with a message simply saying Undeliverable.

Please if anyone has any ideas for a resolution.

Thank you for the support @fr8ys

Hi there @PMCK67 Please try the suggestions provided by @fr8ys as our resources with assisting with third party Apps are limited.

Support staff can really only respond to webmail issues.

Sometimes deleting the account from Outlook, closing it down, then reopening and adding the email again works

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here: How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - Help & Support.

Yes I have used webmail and can send/receive e-mails fusing webmail on internet from computer and Talktalk app on Android phone.  When configuring Outlook I continue to receive We could not log you on to the incoming (IMAP) server.  Same username and passwords used here and on webmail.  I have also turned the router off assuggested and after 90 minute the router was turned back on, but I am still unalbe to send or receive using Outlook.

Have you tried sending an email using webmail? If not try this.

If it persists, try turning your router off for at least 30 minutes to establish a new session and then retry.
