Ask us about your TalkTalk email account and Webmail.

Hello all,
I'm not receiving emails that come from Gmail addresses. I also have a Gmail address and often forward things from this to my Tiscali address.
- This seems to have stopped working between 6th and 7th November. I can see there have been several posts regarding this issue over the last day or two, but I can't see any solutions just yet.
- The emails from Gmail are not appearing in neither Webmail nor Outlook.
- I can see the Gmail emails I'm sending in the Sent folder in Gmail, and I had one undeliverable message on the 8th from Gmail, but apart from that, they all seem to be sending ok from Gmail, and appear in the sent folder..
- I can send from Tiscali to my Gmail address, and it is arriving in Gmail immediately.
I wasn't sure if I should start a new post or add to others that have already posted. I wanted to ensure a) I provided helpful/relevant information to Talk Talk that would be noticed, and b) to make sure I received any notifications of any replys.
Does anyone know if this is a Talk Talk or a Gmail issue? I know I have had problems in the recent past of sending emails FROM my Tiscali address TO Gmail addresses - they immediately go into peoples' Gmail Spam folders and don't get noticed. This issue is still happening at times. But this is the first time I have had the reverse problem (from Gmail to Tiscali).
Thank you.

Morning Michelle,
I was just about to write and update, when your message came through.
I can see that my emails started coming through from Gmail at 9.15pm last night (11th November), to both Outlook and Webmail. So that's good news. It looks like even the delayed ones have appeared as well, rather than having them re-sent.
Many thanks to all for sorting out the issue.
Jill

Thank you Ady for your update.
I've noted the service update as well. I've just done a test from a Gmail address, but it hasn't come through yet - I guess it's behind a bit of a queue ! I notice the update mentions it could take a while for emails to come through.
I have to say it was fixed very quickly - I wonder if it was simply a case of 'switching off and on again'. I wish all I.T solutions could be that simple !
Best wishes and thank you,
Jill

The statement was updated I didn't request the webmail comment as webmail is just like any other mail client. My apologies that I missed it.
You'll see the mails coming through throughout the morning. Any that were rejected will need to be resent.

I have been having the same problem since 8th Nov. Very frustrating!

Thank you for your reply and update. Much appreciated.
You mentioned that the Gmail issue is not impacting on the Webmail service, but I just wanted to reiterate that Gmail emails are NOT coming into my Webmail service (as well as Outlook service).
The same error message is occuring at the Gmail end ("The MX host does not match any MX allowed by the STS policy.")
Thank you.

Hi all, We’re aware that some of our customers are having problems with their Tiscali email service. Tiscali customers are currently unable to receive emails from Gmail. Senders from Gmail are reporting getting the error message 'The MX host does not match any MX allowed by the STS policy'.
This issue only seems to be impacting email clients (outlook for example), customers using our webmail service aren’t reporting issues.
Our team are working hard to get things back up and running, please check back here for updates.
Check the service status board for updates.

Thank you for your reply @Gliwmaeden2 . Much appreciated. I like a good queue 🙂

@JillyB and @Efimia1955, there won't be a staff reply till after the weekend.
@JillyB, your post is in the queue for attention.
@Efimia1955, if you return to the message board and click on start a topic to begin your own thread, it will help highlight the issue. Posting on another customer's thread makes it look like it's one customer's issue, due to their automated workflow.

I'm really not sure where the issue lies. I just know that this time it seems to be receiving Gmail addresses that is my issue.

I have a similar issue. As from yesterday 8/11/24 approx 9.30 am I cannot receive e mails from Outlook users however they seem to be able to receive my emails. I still use my tiscoli co.uk address, could this be the problem?
