Problems Sending Mail

Are there any problems sending messages from programmes like Thunderbird at present as I can't send and keep getting Login to server smtp.talktalk.net with username xxxxxx@Onetel.com failed.

My settings are as follows:

Server name: smtp.talktalk.net

Port: 587

Connection Security: STARTTLS

Authentication: Normal Password

Username: xxxxx@Onetel.com

I left it for a bit to see if I could find any issues but nothing I could find and my Thunderbird client that's one of the ones I use in parallel to webmail is responding promptly.

Are you sure that in your Thunderbird setup it's not the same situation as we discussed previously? The outgoing SMTP server you were trying to use is not the one set up with the onetel email account password?
