Hi there, The problem I am having is that my upload speed on my wired PC is only 0.2mbps. I am having difficulty sending emails and I cannot send any with attachments. This problem has existed for a long time and I am sick of it. I have disabled Large Send Offload IPV4(V2) in my network adaptor settings but no noticable change. Accessing websites on the internet can be difficult too Previous contact with TalkTalk has not proved helpful. Conversations are about Download Speed (12mbps) not Upload speed( 0.2mbps) What can be done? Thank you

I wish there was more I can do for you, we can continue with checks however I'll need you to do a few things for me. This may be also caused by the number of devices connected to the router, so please also try refreshing the connection.

The problem with uploading attachments with emails still exists to which there is no solution but I think I will move on.

Thank you

Please note that upon looking into your account, that is your highest upload as promised meaning there's nothing wrong with your upload.

I have done a speed test on my wife's iphone and this shows 0.3mb as well.

That is 3 different devices!

My PC which is hard wired and 2 mobile devices using wifi, record the same upload speed of 0.3mb

Upon looking into your account, your promised highest upload speed is 0.3 and as you have confirmed, you are receiving exactly that. If I'm to run checks, we won't pick up any issues as you getting what you supposed to be getting. Thanks

You refer to the fact that the download speed is above the 8mb and is around 10mb.

It is the Upload speed which is the problem as it is dire.

I have done a speed test on my mobile phone and this shows an upload speed of 0.3mb as well

To help identify the issue and complete checks I'm going to provide you with a link to the TalkTalk Wi-Fi Assist app - this can allow you to send images and video to us as well as identify WiFi issues in your home.

You'll need a mobile device to run the app.

Please note if the problem was to be with your device, then that would be a third problem hence why we run checks on our devices and provide that additional support where we can on third party devices.

No I do not have the Wifi Assist app as yet.

please explain why you are pursuing a WiFi  question when the problem is on a device not using WiFi?

Can I ask, have you previously installed the TalkTalk Wi-Fi Assist app?

Can you open the TalkTalk Wi-Fi Assist app on your mobile device?

You can do this by selecting the TalkTalk Wi-Fi Assist app icon, or searching for TalkTalk Wi-Fi Assist and then selecting the app icon in your search results.

The problem is with the Upload speed which is preventing attachments to be sent with an email

The average download speed tested from your router over the past 7 days has been 9.53 MB.

It has remained consistently above the minimum guaranteed speed of 8.5 MB, so there are no issues with the speed between the router and TalkTalk.

I'm now checking the current speed between the TalkTalk router and the Internet. This should take just under a minute and then I'll continue with further checks.

WiFi is poor throughout the house and I often have to resort to Mobile Data to use my iphone on the internet.

I do not have a laptop.

I use a windows 11 PC hard wired into the Openreach box ,Router and PC.

The problem I am having is not due to wifi

How is the Wi-Fi in other parts of the house, it doesn't matter which device you be using but I just need to know if it's the same no matter where you are in the house. Thanks

The problem occurs on my wired in PC which is next to the new Openreach box and the new router.

Most of the work I do is on my PC as the WiFi signal is not good enough

The attachments are only a couple of pages of text

Larger attachments I have to send through the post!

Allow us to run checks on this and hopefully have it resolved for you, there are no infrastructure events we are aware of hence your speeds have remained as promised. This is basically a matter of the size of the attachments that being sent or possible something else. I'll run checks on this for you, please confirm if the problem occurs everywhere, you try and use the WiFi, or just in certain parts of the house - for example upstairs, or outside the house?

By infrastructure I was talking about problems with copper wire overhead supply.

I concur with the readings taken and the previous post indicated it was unlikely this could be improved upon

Looking into your account you are on Fibre 65 and the speeds obtainable to your property that were promised on point of sale is 10.5Mbps, Lowest download speeds of 9.4MBPs and a minimum guaranteed speed of 8.5Mbps

The Highest upload speed is 0.3MBs and the lowest is 0.3 Mbps

The advice provided by @Gliwmaeden2 is correct.
