Hi. Over the years I have received a few spam emails purportedly from TalkTalk that I have always "blocked" and "forwarded" (with absolutely no problem whatsover) to phishing@talktalk.co.uk.
In recent weeks the number of these emails has substantially increased and since last week (including this morning) they are being instantly "returned" as Sytem Administrator Undeliverable with the following message :
Your message did not reach all or some of the intended recipients
Subject: FW TalkTalk Account Verification
Sent : 09/12/2024
The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:
'phishing@alktalk.co.uk' on 09/12/2024 08:35
550 5.7.1 Rewject for policy reason
Any idea why this has started to happen and can it be fixed ?
Many thanks.

Thanks Ady, good to know your colleagues are so helpful !
Everything seems to be "drying up" in the modern world !

Unfortunately, in the last week or so information from colleagues in other businesses has dried up. I'm unable to tell you anything other than what is in the help article.

Just sent (via Outlook) the offending email as an "attachent" to phishing@talktalk.co.uk rather than just "forwarding" it and it has gone through fine.

Hi Ady. Thanks for the speedy reply.
Yes, I was aware of that guidance (which I have never used) but would still really like to know the reason why suddenly, my just "forwarding" the spam emails I received no longer works when it did for many years ?

The only thing I can suggest is that you follow the more recent guidance on the dealing with unwanted email help article.
