@Fred! Thank you for your patience regarding this matter, please allow me to clarify.
If you leave TalkTalk, you will be able to use your emails for a certain time without paying, you will then need to wait for a link about Every mail to be sent to you and then you will be required to move to a paid email service as TalkTalk no longer offers Mail plus.
I hope this explanation is clearer, if you have any further questions on this, I will be happy to answer. Thank You.

Hello Thabile,
I only have one TT account for BB contract expiring later in 2026.
Are your dates incorrect ? Do you mean March 2026 rather than February 2026?
I said to your colleague that I was considering leaving TT to transfer to another provider but would keep the position open until I could seek clarification regarding the email position first.
Hope that makes sense.
Regards.

@Fred!, whatever the status of your contract with Talktalk currently.....
When a customer leaves, there is a "grace period" during which there is no need to be paying for email.
You would need to wait for a link about Everymail to be sent to you, as that's the official route to do this.
Trying to pre-empt this would cause confusion and complicate matters.
Talktalk's Mailplus no longer exists. The system has changed completely over the past year, since mid 2025.

Upon reviewing your account, I can verify that you have requested a transition to a different provider (unsolicited cease). The anticipated completion date for your unsolicited cease is 19/02/2026. Should you possess multiple accounts, kindly include your account information in your profile under private notes.

Hi Thabile,
I am not sure to what you are referring regarding account closure. I have a TT contract for BB that is due to expire later in 2026.
Regards, Tom.

@Fred! Thank you for your response. I apologize for not providing more details. When I referred to being disconnected, I was specifically talking about the broadband account, not the email.

Dear Thabile,
Thank you for your prompt reply to my query.
Firstly, I am not sure which account you have viewed but my email was not disconnected, or at least not with my knowledge, and I am using it as normal at the moment.
Secondly, the reason for my enquiry was because I was considering leaving Talktalk on the basis of costs, not quality of the product used. I had heard that if I closed my broadband account with TT I could keep my email address for a monthly or annual fee. I held an online chat with one of your colleagues yesterday and he said that I couldn't keep my email if I closed the BB account. That is why I looked it up and read something about being able to subscribe to TT Mail Plus. I then posted for more information on the community noticeboard. You are suggesting I can subscribe to Everymail.
My aim, if I can attain it, is to ensure that I can have my email account up and running so it does not break continuity if I decide to close the BB account. I think you are saying I will need to subscribe to Everymail first then close the account to avoid disruption. I would welcome advice as how to do this please.
Thank you.

@Fred! I have reviewed your account and noted that it was disconnected on 18/02/2026. Talk Talk has ceased to offer mail plus services. At this moment, you are not required to take any action, as your email should function properly during the grace period. You will receive an email notification from us once it is determined that your email is not associated with an active broadband account. This email will inform you about subscribing to Everymail if you wish to maintain your email service. Currently, Everymail charges a monthly subscription fee of £5.00 or an annual fee of £50.00.
