IMAP stands for Internet Message Access Protocol, which affects the emails that you receive. Transmitted emails use SMTP.

This normally means that all of your emails are physically held on an IMAP server such as imap.tiscali.co.uk. You can access your email from multiple devices and you see the same emails on each. The other main Email protocol for received emails is POP3, where the emails are held locally on a device. If you access your emails using POP3 from different devices, you will see potentially different emails on each device.

These days, it always makes sense to use IMAP.

I can't be certain for tinyworld, but it is probably the same as talktalk.net, which is covered here:-

https://help-centre.talktalk.co.uk/Email/Set_up_TalkTalk_email/Email_settings_to_access_TalkTalk_ema...

You will probably be able to substitute tinyworld.co.uk where it talks about talktalk.net.

The TalkTalk Community has now moved to a peer-to-peer support model. This means that the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry, there are plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - TalkTalk Help & Support
