Unable to receive emails on all devices and webmail on tiscali account

This morning, a propos nothing at all, I have been unable to receive emails on my tiscali.co.uk email account on all devices both apple (iMac and phone) and windows 10 PC - they are also not coming through to webmail. On the Mac, there is a message which says the account name and password is not recognised. Bizarrely, I can send messages and I know that they are getting through.

 

Is anyone else having the same problem? How do I fix this?

You need to reset your mailbox password as soon as possible. If you didn't set those filters and forwards then it's possible your mailbox has been hacked. I'd also recommend running Anti Virus checker and malware checkers on all your devices that connect to the internet.

Hi Ady

 

Have done that. In the meantime, I found another post from a Tiscali customer on 3rd April 2023 that had the same problem. I followed the instructions and removed the filters on the account. It now seems to work. I don't recall setting setting these filters. One was automatic forwarding and the other was vacation notification. Odd.
