sending emails from iphone

I cannot send emails from my tiscali email account from my iPhone.

The message I get is: The connection to the outgoing server 'smtp.tiscali.co.uk' failed.

any idea why?

I can receive ok. I can sent from webmail browser

Billx, thanks It seems to have resolved itself without any intervention other that to switch off/on my phone.

but the response and info is appreciated should it happen again.

Correct SMTP Configuation for Iphone app:
Outgoing email server:  smtp.talktalk.net    Port 587
Secure connection type: STARTTLS
