I appreciate the info I'm after is somewhere on your huge community web site, but much easier to ask you.  I have bought a new PC for my wife running Windows 11 Home and using Outlook (not Gmail) as the principle email client.  She has an Outlook email address and a tiscali.co.uk email address.  The Outlook email account is automatically set up when you first start up the PC.  Can you please point me to the account settings I need to set up her tiscali.co.uk email account alongside her outlook email account.  Presumably IMAP rather than POP (please correct me if I'm wrong!!).  Many thanks.

If you use IMAP in outlook, it will work as yours does in Thunderbird.

Deleting the account in outlook would not mean you losing emails providing they are set up ss IMAP.

All talk and legacy emails now use the same settings.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here: How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - Help & Support.

Many thanks for prompt reply, fr8ys.  Can I just double-check please that the settings you've pointed me to are equally valid for @Tiscali.co.uk as for @talktalk.net and therefore for all Talk Talk emails whichever server they are on.  Back in the dark ages I thought there were some differences.  When you say I may have to delete the "account" and re-add it, just to help with my ignorance are you saying I might have to delete the @Tiscali.co.uk account on Outlook?  Presumably not the Outlook client programme itself.  If I have to delete and re-add does this mean I'm going to lose emails?  What about emails that I have moved to a new "Saved emails" folder within the Outlook client - presumably they are safe once moved?  When I move an email to a new Saved folder does it disappear from my webmail?
One of the advantages of using Thunderbird (OK for me, not for my wife - too many issues with it) is that whatever folders you set up in Thunderbird are also then set up in webmail, so you really do have identical folders on both webmail and Thunderbird.  But I suspect Outlook is not this closely linked to TalkTalk webmail - perhaps this is part of the problem the Microsoft are looking into (and have been for years, I think, i.e. doing nothing).
Your help very much appreciated.

IMAP is preferable.

Settings can be found here.

Note, there may be issues with Outlook and TalkTalk emails. As far as we are aware Microsoft are looking into this.

If you have issues, you may have to delete the account and re-add it.
