Have a newish laptop after a complete loss of previous. Also have a temporary phone after losing previous.
I have tried setting up my email on both, same name & password ets with the only change being from my previous incoming/outgoing server settings (imap.tiscali.co.uk & smtp.tiscali.co.uk) to the now recommended mail.talktalk.net & smtp.talktalk.net.
Both laptop & phone give error messages : cannot connect to server.
Ports are 993 & 587, still using imap, encryptions are SSL/TLS & STARTTLS
Why can I not connect to the server ?

Unfortunately, support staff are no longer available here and if you are sure you are using the correct settings, this will require you to contact TalkTalk directly as the forum is now peer to peer and this is something we are, on this occasion, unable to help you with.
