I'm thinking of getting new doors and windows fitted. Trouble is, the fibre currently goes through the frame in the top corner. I don't know if it will be possible to get the old frame out without damaging the fibre. Its also stapled to the frame inside. Who would be best to contact if it gets broken when the old frame is taken out?

Hi @JimRollinson Thank you for providing those details about the installation space. I understand the challenges you’re facing regarding the entry points.
I can recommend contacting our installation team directly. They have the expertise to assess your specific situation and determine the best approach. If drilling isn’t an option due to safety concerns, they may suggest alternative solutions.

There is, quite literally, no wall for them to drill through. The door (and the side panels) take up the entire width of the hallway. Above the door is a solid concrete lintel, there's no drilling through that. Its not safe to even if you could. The only viable entry point is the corner of the frame. I will talk to the installers if I decide to get the windows done,

@JimRollinson they would normally drill through a wall and then mount the ONT box on the inside wall, but would accommodate customer's requests if that's not possible, which it sounds like yours may not have been.
Good luck with your nibbling. Your installers may will have come across similar issues before, especially with TV aerials which have been drilled through window frames, so may well have a solution.

Its a new full fibre line. If or when I get around to it, I'll see if they can carefully nibble the corner of the frame away before they pull it out. I'll have to contact Openreach if it gets broken. There's no point in trying to get it moved beforehand as there's nowhere to move it to. Through the corner of the frame is the only possible route into the house.
Thank you,
Jim

Is this fibre connected to an ONT box, or is it fibre via a copper line connected to a master socket inside the property?
You will need a survey from your installers and they will be able to advise you on this.
The infrastructure of the line is not owned by TalkTalk and they would be unable to advise you on any changes.
This will need to be done by OpenReach, assuming they are the company who own the line. They own the line up to and including the ONT box or Master Socket.
They offer a service of changing your lines etc. of you contact them direct. I suggest you discuss this with your door installer and surveyor and then contact OpenReach using the form on this page if changes are required by them.
