New Wifi hub was wrong, I'm still waiting for address label to return , need to check if refunded

Hello, I spent an hour trying to connect to the new 'black fibre box' that Talktalk recently told me I needed and should order for £80.  

 

I couldn't do it and phoned in for help - seems I'd received the 'wrong' box.

 

I've not checked if I was refunded the £80 yet, but was promised a return envelope to send it back.  Anyone else had this problem?  Seems I'm only on a Fibre65 contract, whatever that is!

I tested the wifi hub on both fibre to the cabinet and premises and it worked on both.

 

It has a grey broadband and red (maybe green) WAN input.

 

Did you try both of these? The grey one should work for to the cabinet connections and the red is for full fibre.

 

I wonder if the instructions are an issue here as they are not clear on the help page intimating that it is only for full fibre.

 

If you still have it could you confirm if you tried both connections and if not try again please?
