Chat link, again missing from main TalkTalk contact page

The chat link has again been removed from "How to contact TalkTalk" page, at https://help-centre.talktalk.co.uk/Billing_and_Payments/Something_else/How_to_contact_TalkTalk_Broad...

this also being the address quoted by the Community Stars.

The page continues to have the following FAQ, towards the bottom:

How do I connect to TalkTalk Live Chat?

The easiest way to start a live chat is to select the Live Chat button near the top of this page.

I think this is the best place to originate the chat from.

@Billx

It does look very much like they have changed the way to get to live chat i.e. via My Account only, but neglected to update the FAQs at the bottom. So a miss from the web team, not for the first time, sadly. Hopefully most readers won’t get that far, they usually don’t and will simply do as suggested further up.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here: How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - Help & Support.

Yes,

At the top, "To chat with us simply login to My Account to start the conversation. "

At the bottom, "The easiest way to start a live chat is to select the Live Chat button near the top of this page"

Ah, There is NO  Live Chat button near the top of this page

It would be nice if it all functioned better, @Billx, so I will refer the thread to the forum manager to take a look at what's going on.

I shouldn't be getting that yellow notice, for a start, let alone the business of the missing Chat button.

My point was @Gliwmaeden2 that Lorraine is not really involved anymore & will soon not be able to help at all. So there isn't anything that we can do about this.

Thanks a lot @Gliwmaeden2

I was just reporting it. I don't expect anyone to do anything.

Agreed, @Billx.

@KeithFrench, normally, when people complain that the Chat link isn't showing up, it actually shows up fine on Chrome. Sometimes there's a delay of a few seconds.

This time it's not showing up at all.

I see that the page was updated on 02/06 and now refers to accessing Chat via My Account:

The updated top of this page just shows:

There's still reference to just clicking on the button "near the top of this page" much further on, but no button anywhere on the information page at the moment:

And to top it all, I got one of these yellow notices when I first started composing this thread, and had to find my way to drafts to finish it.

I think @Lorrainef needs to take a look!

I am not really sure what you expect the Community Stars to do with this thread anyway, perhaps you could enlighten me?

In Windows 11, it works using Chrome, but I find it rarely works in Edge.

I don't think it depends on the browser.

I usually use Chrome. But both Chrome and Edge are up-to-date, and the contact page on both, displays without the chat link.

I realize TalkTalk will not see this thread.

I have found it all depends on the browser that you are using. Chrome is OK, but not Edge.

No one from TalkTalk will see this thread, so there is not much point in writing it. Sorry.
